Privacy Policy
ReelCap is built on a straightforward principle: your videos and voice stay on your device. We do not collect, upload, or store your media.
In short: ReelCap works entirely on your iPhone. No account required. Your videos and audio never leave your device. Caption generation uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition. The only third-party data collection comes from advertising (Google AdMob), and only if you grant tracking permission.
Information We Do Not Collect
ReelCap has no servers that receive your personal content. We do not collect:
- Videos or photos from your library
- Audio or voice recordings used for caption generation
- Location data from your device or photo metadata
- Your name, email address, or any registration details
Caption generation uses Apple’s on-device Speech Recognition framework, configured for Cantonese (zh-HK). Audio is processed locally and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Advertising & Tracking
The free version of ReelCap displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. If you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) and usage signals to serve personalised ads.
If you decline tracking permission, AdMob will still show ads but they will not be personalised. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

You can remove all advertising permanently with the Remove Ads in-app purchase.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. ReelCap does not receive or store any payment or billing information.
Photo Library & Microphone Access
ReelCap requests access to your photo library to let you select video clips and save exported captions. This access is read on your device; nothing is transmitted remotely.
Microphone access is not required for normal use — ReelCap captions existing video files from your library. If microphone access is requested in a future feature, recordings will be used on-device only for speech-to-text processing.
Children’s Privacy
ReelCap is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of ReelCap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

廣告與追蹤
ReelCap 免費版本顯示由 Google AdMob 提供的廣告。若你透過 Apple 的「App 追蹤透明度」提示授予權限，AdMob 可能收集你裝置的廣告識別碼（IDFA）及使用訊號，以提供個人化廣告。
若你拒絕授予追蹤權限，AdMob 仍會顯示廣告，但不會個人化。你可隨時在「設定 → 私隱與安全 → 追蹤」中更改此設定。

你可透過應用程式內購買「移除廣告」，永久移除所有廣告。

購買完全由 Apple 透過 App Store 處理。ReelCap 不接收或儲存任何付款或帳單資料。
相冊與麥克風存取
ReelCap 請求存取你的相冊，以讓你選取影片片段及儲存匯出的字幕。此存取在你的裝置上進行，任何內容均不會遠端傳輸。
麥克風存取並非正常使用所必需——ReelCap 處理相冊中的現有影片檔案。如未來功能需要麥克風存取，錄音將僅在裝置端用於語音轉文字處理。
兒童私隱
ReelCap 並非針對13歲以下兒童。我們不會刻意收集兒童的個人資料。
政策變更
如我們對本政策作出重大變更，我們將更新本頁頂部的生效日期。在變更後繼續使用 ReelCap，即表示接受更新後的政策。
